Take a Leap of Love With The Burt Bacharach Songbook

Hidden Within the Colorful Restaurant Known for Good Times and Great Atmosphere, The Alley at Carnivale Returns on February 29th, Leap Day!

Join nationally acclaimed singer Megon McDonough, legendary jazz pianist Fred Simon, and bassist Jon Paul as they take you on a nostalgic journey through the timeless hits of composer Burt Bacharach and lyricist Hal David in the captivating show, "What the World Needs Now." The performance will take place on Feb. 29 at 7:30 p.m. (doors at 6:30p) at Carnivale. There is a $50 cover charge for the show.

McDonough has previously performed this show to enthusiastic crowds at the Raue Center in Crystal Lake and at Studio5 in Evanston, and she is thrilled to bring this concert to The Alley room at Carnivale, which is known for presenting eye-popping live shows, Latin music and other cabaret-style performances.

In the first half of this 90-minute show, McDonough, Simon and Paul pay homage to the iconic duo of Bacharach and David, one of the most beloved and prolific songwriting duos of the 20th century. The show features some of Bacharach’s most famous songs, “I Say A Little Prayer,” “Walk On By,” “Close To You,” “Raindrops Keep Fallin’,” “What The World Needs Now,” “Alfie,” “The Look of Love” and “I’ll Never Fall In Love Again.”

In the second half of the show, McDonough will be performing some of her own signature songs, including “Amazing Things,” as well as a cover of “Spirits In The Material World” by The Police, and “1000 Beautiful Things” by Annie Lennox. The trio will also perform a couple Fred Simon original compositions.

Guests will be treated to a night to remember. Enjoy handcrafted cocktails & live entertainment. Doors open at 6:30pm! Tickets cost includes show only. Tickets available for parties of 2-4.
