With its roots in Brazil, The Samba also has deeply religious ties back to West Africa. It was slaves who brought Samba to Brazil and it was Brazil that embraced it so deeply, it’s one of the most recognizable exports of the country around the world.
But Samba is more than just a dance, it has emerged as a culture, with it’s own music, food and vibe. That’s something we embrace here at Carnivale, so we decided to invite all our friends over for a little party. And yes, you’re invited too.
We want to celebrate the past, present and future of the Samba with a Samba Dance Party every third Wednesday from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., featuring $5 Margaritas, Mojitos and Sangria.
It’s always a party here at Carnivale Chicago, so strap on your dancing shoes and Samba the night away. Why walk when you can dance?
